The Royal Cambodian Armed Forces, with the financial backup of the French Military Assistance, have acquired the INSTINCT infantry fighter simulator, an innovative and unique training system for the first time installed in Asia. This system is interactive and extremely realist, allowing the instructors to control the individual behavior of the fighters but also the elementary know-how of the soldiers individually but also as components of a group and a section. Lastly, options like multi-angle view mode, an interactive mapping system, and the weapon and shooting parameters, are plus to the performance of the system. Nevertheless, it should be noted and understood that this system will never replace the field practice, but should be seen as an ideal complement, allowing virtual and preliminary practices at low cost. With an overall budget of 60,000 USD, the INSTINCT Simulator is playing an important role, developing and improving the RCAF human resources and capacities.
